1.    How often does the Quilters' Travel Companion come out?

            We release a new edition in June of even years.  Shop information is constantly changing and to help customers keep up with this we offer a newsletter every 6 months (see "Retail Ordering") and many changes are also posted in the "Find a Quilt Shop" section on this website.  The newsletter is free to an email address.  So we take care of you for two years for just the cost of one book.

2.    Have you considered spiral binding?

             Yes - we found it would increase the retail price of the book $7 - $8

             Hint - Kinkos can spiral bind a book for about $5.00

3.    Who is the artist for the cover artwork?  

              I've always had a picture in my mind for the cover of the book and Donna Jensen of Woodland Park, Colorado was able translate it to paper for me.  She is the owner of Posies and Such - a great line of stationery products.

4.    Why all the maps?

              We wanted it to be easy to tell at a glance where shops are (the state maps) so you can use this for trip planning or know quickly if you'll be near a shop.  Then the shop maps make it easy to get right to a shop's front door so you don't have to call and try to get directions over the phone.  Also we've tried to arrange the ads geographically so that they are close to each other in the book.  We think this also makes the book easier to use rather than listing alphabetically.

5.    Can we get a CD version of the book?

              Yes, we now have to book on CD.  See the "Retail Ordering" button to the left.

6.    Do you have GPS coordinates available?

              We are working on providing GPS coordinates for car navigation systems.  To be honest, we're not exactly sure what's needed in what sort of format.  If you would like to be a 'Guiney pig' to help us test this program give us a call.
